Comp's Pheasant Hunting

Welcome to South Central South Dakota, home of Comp Guide Service and some of the best pheasant hunting in the state.

No pheasants are released; we hunt all native birds. The birds are hunted in land that is in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), on food plots, grain fields, creek bottoms, and sloughs. This environment supports an abundance of wild ring-neck pheasants, sharp-tailed grouse, prairie chicken, whitetail deer, prairie dog, and coyote just to name a few.

All hunts are guided. We have experienced, well-trained bird dogs but your dogs are welcome, too, as long as they are well-behaved, well-trained hunting dogs. Groups of 8 - 10 hunters are preferred, but smaller groups are welcome also.

Lodging is provided in our newly remodeled bunk house, along with breakfast, a noon lunch in the field, and supper. All meals are home cooked.
